"Best of the best"
Hi there, I plan on traveling to CR during the last week of June and I am curious as to which hotels are considered the best of the best. We stayed in Tabacon and La Paz waterfall gardens last year. They were wonderful but I'd like to try somewhere new. Excluding those 2 hotels which others would be a place that has to be seen?(Prices are not an issue) All advice is greatly appreciated.

Bosque del Cabo in the Osa. This is a remarkable place.
For a few nights near SJ, look at Vista del Valle Plantation Inn.
We have stayed in some interesting places in our CR travels, BdC was a place that was truly difficult to leave.

We spent 10 days in CR this past January. Wtihout question, Villa Caletas had the best accommodations, best views, best food. Xandari had wonderful accommodations also-- and terrific views and wonderful hiking trails. Spent 2 nights in each of those places and would have liked another. (We also loved the trails at La Paz-- and those crazy suites.)
