Best airfare to MEX from US?
 

Anyone have info on discount airfare to Mexico City (MEX) from the US? I've been told that the Mexican government tightly controls air traffic and fares are higher than in a deregulated market, but wonder about consolidators or charters. Thanks for any info!

<BR>United has had Mexico City as one of it's E-fares offerings for at least a month. From IAD the fare is $200.

Mexico City is quite often an internet special at $199, and regular fares are rarely more than $250-$400 from Chicago.<BR>

Thanks for the info. Ironically, fares to MEX from Chicago and DC are usually less than those from here in Texas - supply and demand, I guess.

Go to aeromexico's site and sign up for &quot;faresavers.&quot; They have been having some really good deals- like 169.00 rt to Mexico City from SLC and some other U.S. cities. Also Aviacsa is a dicount Mexican airline. If they serve your area there can be some good deals.
