Volcanogirl, actually our next trip is to Fiji -- in two weeks! But since it doesn't involve kids, I am still in denial that we are going :)

Patty, yes, I didn't realize that March would be cooler than July. In Costa Rica, March can often be one of the hottest months of the year. Thanks for the good info.

alisa, wow, Fiji - that sounds fantastic. You go to some great spots!

I've been on Ambegris the past 3-4 years in for the month of March. Haven't felt any need to turn on the a/c yet....

JeanH, unfortunately we are those people who almost always have either AC or heat on.

alisa, I'm with you. When we did the tour to Tikal, the tour van had a.c. and no one in our group wanted to get out - lol.

volcanogirl,
Belize and CR have different weather patterns. Belize is far enough north that cold fronts hitting the southern US can drop temps there by several degrees. I have a photo of us on a morning walk at Chan Chich in March in sweaters and jackets. Conversely, we were in Costa Rica in August expecting it to be oppressively hot and were pleasantly surprised.
