Belize - How about Blancaneaux & Turtle Inn?
I'm all over the map on where to go for a vacation. We stumbled across the www.blancaneaux.com site and fell in love with the Blancaneaux and Turtle Inn resorts. The rooms both have outdoor showers, which was one of the things we were hoping to find. They're a little rich for our blood, but we're thinking about booking 3 days at each to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this spring. Other than the big cost, it looks like it would be a great romantic vacation. Can anyone provide some feedback on those resorts?
Thank You!!

I've stayed at both (Blanceaux 3 or 4 times, Turtle Inn just once) and toured both again in December. They're both terrific places.

Just wondering if you had planned your vacation yet. We are also considering Blancaneaux and Turtle Inn for our 10th anniversary. It looks wonderful, but I am trying to find some people who have stayed there and see what their experience was like. We want to go in August and even thought that is the "rainy" season, I have read it is still a good time to go.

If you search the accommodations section of the Belize Forum for those places you'll get a lot of opinions (most recent listed last).

We're heading for Blancaneaux & Turtle Inn on Wednesday May 3rd. Looking for any last minute suggestions. Any suggestions for side-trips? Any Rain Forest trips or Zip Line tours close to either of these resorts? We heard DeTatch & Purple Space Monkey were good food in Placencia, any other food ideas? Actravelgirl, we can give you a report when we get back.
