Bed and Breakfast/Guesthouses in BA

Sorry for the multiple questions but wanted to see if anyone had recommendations for B&Bs in BA. Have not seen much written about this on Fodor's. Any thoughts/recommendations? Looking for a place in the Palermo Viejo area.

This is NOT my area, but over the last few months I have seen A LOT written here on the subject, so I feel that maybe you should look again.

Anyway, I'm sure drdawggy and others will soon respond to your call with all their expertise.

Suy :

From mid september through april best B&B in Palermo viejo are probably fully booked.
The few Top ones on the U$S 120 / 150
range are:
1) BOBO
2 )Malabia House
3) Five

In a second group and priced aprox. U$S 50 / 100

1) La Otra Orilla ( V.good)
2) Posada Palermo
3) Como en Casa
4) Posada Palermo
5) Solar Soler

Each one has its web site.

Try Casa Monserrat in Monserrat neighb.
Salta 1074. Not a top neighb., but a top B&B.

I told you the cavalry would get here pretty soon!!!

Thanks much guys! Will start hunting down places now. Didn't realise I was late to the game for my reservations. To think I was being sheepish about planning a trip in March now!

By the way, when you say Casa Monserrat is not in a top neighbourhood, is that a reference to safety or accessibility?

Now I know I am being a ditz but how does one find Five's website? I've tried to google it and all I get are references to five star hotels and the like. Sorry about this!

Accessibility is excellent , its not an unsafe neighbourhood for Porteños ; but its not a nice place to walk alone at night, yes might be rather unsafe at night .
You may ask a Radio taxi from the B&B and in a 5 minutes ride you are in Recoleta or dowtown.

Not my area, but I looked at previous threads and found it easily enough.

As far as I know, that area is not the nicest to walk but by radio taxi you will not have problems.

And why donīt you try to rent a furnished apartment as another possibilty?

There are a few companies doing so and for sure you will find a suitable apartment for the price of B&B in the neighbourhood you like.

Does anyone have experience with Olleros3000. It looks good from its website but I have read one review that said it was noisy.

AtlantaTraveler2 Feb 13th, 2006 08:30 AM

We just returned from 9 days at the Malabia House.

OMG - we loved it. The staff are amazing wonderful people and the place is gorgeous.

Palermo Viejo is the happening place to be right now. Check it out.
