Bariloche to Chile - Day-trips
Hello.
I will be spending three days in Bariloche, Argentina at the end of November. I wanted to know it's possible to do any day-trips to Chile returning to Argentina the same day/night. I understand that the lake tours to Chile require an overnight stay before returning to Bariloche. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Ross :-) |
Not really, you can take the Lake Crossing, look for their website is very illustrative at crucedelagos.com.ch and come back by bus a shorter way. But I believe it will be too tiresome. Instead of taking the cruce de lagos all the way between Bariloche and Chile (Puerto Varas, Puerto Mont) you can take a portion of it lasting a few hours. May be it is ok to take it to the hotel that is on the Chilean side inmediately after crossing the border. Check with them and maybe you can change the directios there. There are many options leaving from Bariloche going and coming back in the same catamaran that are lovely .
I am not sure if when crossing the border on the Cruce de Lagos the Chilean authorities will require you to pay the $100 fee for entering Chile, better check that. |
Sorry I made a misstake the official site for Cruce de Lagos is,
www.crucedelagos.ch this is the one to look into. |
