Barcelo Playa Tambor - Recent Visitors?

I'm helping my sister plan her wedding/honeymoon. She and fiance are considering Barcelo Playa Tambor. Are there any recent visitors (within the last year or so)? I would really appreciate your opinions. Thanks!

Barcelo Playa Tambor is certainly nice, but is one of those big evrything-under-one-roof resorts, a la Club Med. If it's quiet seclusion they're looking for, this is not the place. But if they want a lot of resort activites, it's fine.

I agree with the previous post.
Playa Tambor a very large resort with cheesie nightly entertainment. It definitely caters to couples and families, mostly South Americans. The buffet meals were good but not terribly interesting. It's not a place I'd consider returning to because it's too
big and doesn't have much character.
For a honeymoon you definitely want something more intimate.

I agree with the others, it might be better for them to go to another hotel, here are two recomendations:

If you are looking for more recommendations, consider Xandari in Alajuela - it is absolutely spectacular yet intimate and peaceful.

I am also considering the Barcelo Playa Tambor. After reading the comments I am now questioning my decision. Has anyone ever stayed at the Los Delfines next door?
