Baldi or Ecotermales? Which one is nicest?

Seems like I read more about Ecotermales than Baldi. I'm assuming they're two different places?
Which one is nicer and has the most to offer?
Thanks
Carrie

I have not been to Ecotermales and it has been two years since one unfortunately spent night at Baldi for my husband and I, but I will say this:

Baldi is a great place for the spring break set--lots of young folks, lots of boozing, lots (lots!) of T&A, and lots of leery, perfectly dirty old men trying to score with college-aged girls.

If you're even a few minutes older than 21 years old, I would opt for a place a little more mature.

As for the pools themselves, they were nice enough, but they were just that: large swimming pools of varying elevated temperatures. Baldi doesn't have the architecture that Tabacon has. Again, I can only speak for Baldi, not Ecotermales.

OK, to balance that answer (which is based on a 2 year old experience), my BF and I went to Baldi's about 2 months ago and liked it so much we went back the next night.

It's beautiful, and there are 7 different pools to choose from. There were a lot of fun people there.

We are in our mid-30s and didn't feel like we were being overrun by 20 year olds. And didn't see any leering old men, either.

Didn't go to Ecotermales, so can't do a comparison.

I was underwhelmed with Ecotermales. Also, there was construction going on when we were there in March. Check and see if it is complete; if not, go to Baldi.

i think badi is a cheap alternative to Tabacon so why not go to Tabacon at night- cheaper and a chance-small- of seeing the volcano- and Eco Thermales in the morning/ afternoon:

you also get one of the best places to take a photo of the volcano from the car park out front:

check out my la fortuna travelblog- i was there 5 weeks ago:

Ya know... My mom loves to be around people and activity. I like quiet. So, for her, maybe Tabacon really would be the best choice. I've heard so much about too many people, but maybe my mom would actually like that. We'll be at La Mansion for 3 nights. The only other activity I think she'll be able to manage would be the hanging bridges. So maybe spending a day at Tabacon could work after all.
Thank you
Carrie
