BA-time to get from one airport to another

We will be landing at EZE and need to get to AEP(domestic)for a flight to Ignazu Falls. How do we get there-a taxi? And-how much time should we plan? Many thanks

The distance is only 40-50km, but I would allow 3-4 hours to be safe. Your flight might be delayed, there might be a traffic jam, etc.

Yes, a taxi. If traffic is good, it's about a 40 minute trip, but I wouldn't count on that - figure on at least an hour travel time, and as Bob said, you probably want to allow for things like your flight getting in late (especially if you're flying Aerolineas Argentina - give yourself at least an extra hour, probably two...).

Our travel agent gave us five hours to get from AEP to EZE on our return trip from Iguazu. I questioned it, but he said that it might take every bit of that time. We'll see!

You mean five hours between the Iguazú flight ETA and the Ezeiza flight ETD or just travel time between airports?

Counting time spent going through the luggage/customs process at EZE, finding your car ( take a remiss ) and traffic, I think 4-5 hours is not a bad idea. I would much rather be sitting around an airport waiting than being delays in airport workers/traffic/etc.

I believe it is 5 hours from ETA to ETD. We have arranged for transport, so all we have to do is collect luggage and then meet our driver, but since our flight may be late or canceled (we are flying Aerolinas Argentina), my understanding is that we may need every bit of that time.

That's right.

When I went to Salta a couple of years ago, an American couple missed their flight home, due to a delayed local flight.

My fear exactly. Fortunately I have discovered that my school district is more forgiving than others when people can't get back from vacation. One of my co-workers ended up spending an extra week in BA last April due to an air traffic control strike in Brazil that grounded all of the flights. She didn't complain too much ;-)! Maybe I can hope for the same!

Just returned from BA yesterday. We took a shuttle from AEP to EZE for $13 US each. The trip took 90 min. even with traffic. The company is Transfer Express.
