B&b in Palermo, BA

Hi all. Have been reading this forum for a while and it's already given me some really useful info for my Argentinian trip this October. However quite a few of the hotels people have mentioned are booked up. I have found a b & b in Palermo called Posada Palermo - does anyone have any experience of it? Otra Orilla is booked up as is Bobo and FIVE. If the Posada Palemro is not a great choice, is the Art Hotel in Recoleta near enough to Palermo to make it worth a stay. Thanks so much for any advice you can give,
Jeremy

Liberoj:

Try for Malabia House in Palermo Viejo .
The Art is not near Palermo but 5 / 10 minutes by cab . Excellent location Recoleta

Thanks very much! Unfortunately Malabia House is also booked up but if you say the Art Hotel is in a good location I may well go for that.

Another option i would consider i you donīt mind a not so nice neighbourhood is Casa Monserrat in Monserrat neighbourhood.

The House is incredibly beautifull and refined . Probably nicer than many Palermo Viejo top boutique Hotels.
Their web is:
www.casa-monserrat.com

Once a week they present a private Tango show and Tango classes .

Hi, Graziella5b!

I'll reply for santiagov, if you do not mind.

Casa Monserrat's address is Salta 1074. It is near the Constitución railway station, from which trains going south leave, certainly not an elegant neighborhood. Their phone and e-mail are on their website.

I believe the best transportation means from there should be the subway. Cabs could run into the "piqueteros" and be slowed down or even stopped for hours.

As Uncle avrooste says ,Piqueteros could a problem in the area. But donīt take that for granted.
No problem w/a Taxi from Recoleta, 5 / 10 minutes ride, and drivers know how to avoid Piquetes, altough the trip might be a few minutes longer.

What I wuold do is contact the Owner; Patricia , this is her Cel. 154 417 0629

The lady in charge of this Boutique B&B is named Maritza, but doesnīt speak English.

I am sure you will love this B&B !

Are you going to visit Pancho and Ana ?

Well, I guess I'll break my promise.

Pancho and Ana seem to be the owners of Estancia Los Dos Hermanos.

Belive I read you visited Estancias Los dos Hermanos , Pancho and Ana are the owners. I have been their neighbour for almost 15 years at the Estancia in Zarate.

What are you doing at the Web and not in Tristan Narvaja feria ? or Puerto del Buceo in Uruguay ?

Hi avrooster,
Yes, I remember Ana great host at Estancia Los dos Hermanos, I loved it there because of they way they welcome people and because of the excellent posibilities for everyone to spend a day riding horses.
You guessed right this morning we shall go to Tristan Narvaja. Yesterday, I promised my grandchildren, and I did, to take them to the roller coasters and other games in the Park.
At night we had a very nice dinner in a place I recommend in Montevideo, Cafe Misterio , a good restaurant in Carrasco with many good things and excellent sushi.Days ago we had a delicious risoto- very well prepared- in Panini,s in Baccacay St near the Teatro Solis. Here good places to eat are not that abundant like Buenos AIres., of course you know this.

Well, we certainly have strayed far from what Mr. Liberoj asked in the first place! And at 4 AM on a Sunday!
