I don't have time to write a full trip report, but I wanted to let the you guys know about an awesome experience we had in San Salvador. We only had an 8 hour layover so we wanted to hire a guide who was professional, knowledgeable, and would give us a great time. Through another forum post I saw someone recommend Alberto at Explore El Salvador, so I sent him and email to see if he was available. He was, and we arranged for him to pick us up from the airport, take us on a modified version of the City Tour, and return us back to the airport. It was a blast! His English is impeccable and we were able to discuss things like politics and the differences/similarities between the US and El Salvador. He was very intelligent and very funny! He showed us many fascinating places and took us to the best pupusa place in the country (his words, haha)! We loved our time with him and I really hope you guys have as much fun as we did.

I wanted to leave some feedback for Fernando from elsalvadorcustomtours.com he is an awesome guide with an excellent english, very responsible and hardworking. My trip wouldnt have been the same without him. We visited Joya de Ceren in El Salvador, Quirigua in Guatemala and Copan Ruinas in Honduras. Fernando is an anthropologist, I dont think any other guide can explain the Mayan sites as he does.
