We are thinking of staying here. Can you give some recent feedback?

George: We just returned on Sunday. Let me first say we are a couple in our forties and we have travelled extensively in Mexico, Carribean and done several cruises-so we are fairly clear on what we want from our trip. For us, we felt this place ( if you are looking for an AI) was outstanding. We have seldom found food this good, service this attentive and facilities this clean and varied- anywhere in Mexico. We would highly recommend this resort. You do have to be aware they do not have a beach per se. It is a manmade lagoon. This has its advantages and disadvantages. If a long beach is important to you, you might want to reconsider. Ohterwise I don't think you will find much nicer resort than this in the Riviera Maya area

A couple of questions regarding the Adventura/Spa Palace.<BR><BR>1. What is the difference, if any, between the Spa side and the Palace side and which side has better rooms, i.e., great views, etc.?<BR><BR>2. The website says &quot;non-motorized watersports&quot; is included. Are there any other watersports available at the beach.<BR><BR>3. Are all the restaurants a la carte?<BR><BR>Thanks in advance. Sam: There is no difference between the the Spa die and Adventura side, however we liked the pool/beach area on the Aventura side slightly more. If you can, get in the Clarin buiding (500's)in an odd number room. This puts you looking over the obstacle course/jungle area Spa side and gives you the most most private balcony. Almost all balconies have an ocean view. Five restaruants are a la carte and 2 are buffet. There are no motorized sports at the beach because you can't access the ocean only the lagoon. I suggest you take the shuttle or a cab to Xphu-ha as all their facilities are free to you and they had jet ski rental on the beach.etc.

I stayed at the Aventura spa in October. It is very nice. If you are looking for a wild, crazy, party style place, this is not it - very relaxed and refined but not stuffy. No children allowed - so the atmosphere is adult. The other side I think may have allowed kids -I don't remember, but it was a little more active in the atmosphere department (there were weekly theme parties scheduled. <BR><BR>I like the spa side for the very laid back, but beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. I will definitely go back. And the spa was wonderful! Worth every penney - just make sure you go early for your treatments and enjoy the saunas and whirlpools, etc.
