August weather in Cabo San Lucas?

How hot is it in August (Aug. 16-23 planned trip) in Cabo?
Do we need a car? If we don't get a rental car, does it work to use a taxi?
Thanks
Sue

It is beastly hot in August.

really really HOT!!!

It depends where you stay whether you need a rental car or can get by without one. Los Cabos is a very spread out area. If you stay downtown, you don't need one. If you're in "the Corridor" (where most of the seaside resorts are located stretched out back to San Jose del Cabo) then you might want one.

Temps around 90-95F plus it's the 2nd highest month for precipitation (Sept is the worst, August is second worst)

I'm just reading charts of a couple websites I 'googled' I'd never head to Mexico in Aug/Sept myself.

We're considering a timeshare that is located on Medano Beach. Units are air conditioned.
Is it really humid then?
Thanks
Sue

It's a given that everything is air conditioned. It's when you step outside that you feel like you're in a blast furnace. Honest. It is VERY hot that time of year.

Yes it is hot AND very humid. Medano Beach is great. There's a reason all hotels have air conditioning! And that August is "low season" in most all beach resorts in Mexico. You don't need a rental car staying on Medano, you can easily walk into downtown Cabo from there (10-15 mins. walk).
