Argentina lakes district questions

We are just starting to plan a trip to Argentina mainly in the Lakes District. We can go in either January or February. We are from Canada so don't do really well in the heat or high humidity. Which month should we go ? Also - around Bariloche, San Martin de los Andes, which month would be less crowded ? I'm wondering just how packed it gets. Thanks for your help.

February would certainly be less crowded than January.

February would not only be less crowded it would also be slightly cooler, particularly toward the end of the month.

Excellent. Thanks avrooster and drdawggy. Can either of you tell me how crowded Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes will be ? I assume this is the time when kids are out of school. Are these towns over run with family vacationers in February ? It's really hard to get a handle on what we might expect and it's a long way to travel to be disapppointed. We are considering a week or 10 days in the Lakes District perhaps renting a house.

Just like I said before, in February it will be much less crowded than in January.
