argentina - 1 week

I'm planning a week in Argentina Nov 16 to Nov 23 and then hoping over to Santiago, Chile. We would like to spend 2 nights at Igauzu Falls, some time in BA and we are thinking about 2 nights in Uraguay. Should we allow 9 days instead of 7? Any feedback? Thanks for your help.

IMHO - 1 week is WAY too short to do all of that.10 nights are probably more enjoyable. We were in AR for 2 weeks in April , spent 2 nights at Iguazu , the rest in BA (took some day trips to nearby towns)- It was perfect ! Enjoy .

How was the weather in March? What did you do about clothese with the different weather situations?

We went in late March-April - warm days , cool nights , very nice ! March begins their Fall.Iguazu was warmer and muggy . We brought light clothings and couple light jackets(but only needed them a couple nights). Don't bring a lot of clothes , the laundry service is very cheap and ... you can also shop if you need something , it's shopping heaven there.

Hi - I am also planning a week in Argentina this winter and am tentatively thinking early February but do not really know when to go. Why did you pick November? Is February a good time also? We are planning to stay in BA but want access to the ocean. Arethere beaches nearby?

February is the middle of summer....hot and muggy in Buenos Aires. Be sure your hotel has a good air conditioner (not all hotels do!)....

Beaches....I have been to Mar del Plata...not my favorite Argentine experience....crowded, small beaches...a tacky sea side town.

Pinamar is supposed to be nicer, though I cannot say personally. Many Argentinos go to Punte del Este in Urugay for a beach vacation.

Hope this helps...
