Arenal Volcano Accommodations for large group

Any suggestions for good places to stay near Arenal Volcano in December 2014?

Looking for something with views of the volcano, $50-$100 per person per night, that can accommodate 14-20 people in 6-8 rooms (not sure on the exact number yet). We're looking at both vacation homes and hotels/resorts with several rooms. We like that vacation homes would include a large common space for hanging out, but the ones we've found so far seem to be a little further from a lot of the excursions. Any affordable favorites that would be fun for a large group?

Silencio del Campo and Los Lagos are two popular spots; I haven't checked the prices lately, but they might fit what you're looking for.

I meant to mention that rates for a lot of hotels skyrocket in December, so if you can be flexible in your dates it might be more affordable to travel in other months.

The Smithsonian rooms at the Volcano Lodge are large and
would be good, the view is spectacular, and the price is right.

Location is very close to the SKy Trek zip/tram/canopy, but farther from town and hot springs.
The grounds are gorgeous, they have their own hiking system, bird sanctuary, and pool/hot tub are also great.

As Sylvia mentions, Look at Arenal Observatory Lodge. Several different types of rooms which may fit your needs.

Thanks, I will take a look at these. We know we're looking at high season, that's why we're starting to look now!
