Arenal Paraisol?
 

I've searched through messages and don't see any references to Arenal Paraisol Resort. Has anyone stayed there or have any information about them?

I believe you mean Arenal Paraiso (=paradise), and you can find a lot on it on the forum. It is a very good hotel, very reasonably priced, and with great views of the volcano. A lot of people seem to like it, and I always recommend it when asked.

Stayed there in December. I'd recommend it. There was some construction going on, but it didn't bother us any. . .we didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel during the day. Great view of the volcano.

We stayed there in December of 2002 and will return in December of 2004...we rode horses up to the volcano which I wasn't crazy about...but it's a good view of the volcano...they have a GIANT hot tub that IS TO DIE for after hiking all day!! It has a swim up bar with a great view of the volcano!! Say hello to Dennis the bar god...ask him and he'll teach you some Nicarauguan (not spelled right I'm sure!_..Hummingbirds everywhere...ask for cabins at the back of the property so you'll be close to the trees and can see the howler monkeys come through in the a.m...
