Arenal for 4th of July?

Hi, all! Has anyone heard of any 4th of July festivities in Arenal? I thought maybe some of the American-owned spots might do a celebration of some sort. Last year at BdC they had a cookout for us which was so much fun. Anything in Arenal that you know of? I don't think I can sneak fireworks on the plane!

We're also there one the 4th. I'm hoping the volcano provides us with some fireworks!

We were there in 2006 and Arenal did, indeed, provide great fireworkds for us! It was the best and we watched from the parking lot of El Novillo. There wasn't anything else, though, as far as we knew.

I asked at our hotel, and they said they didn't know of anything either. It was just so fun last year to celebrate with people from other countries. We had Greeks, Italians, and Brits - had some good natured ribbing from the Brits about how our country has gone downhill since we broke away - lol.

Well good luck! Here's to a cloud free volcano with some 'natural' fireworks thrown in! Have a great time.

Thanks, tully! I can't believe it's finally almost here. Do you know how hard it is for me to focus at work this week?!
