Apartments in Buenos Airies

We are planning to spend a couple of weeks in Buenos Airies over the Christmas period and are thinking that a serviced apartment may be a better idea that a hotel or guesthouse. Does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable accomodation agency?

Check out http://www.byt-argentina.com.ar/apar...ion=Apartments

However, I also suggest further research on the subject, before making a decision.

The Christmas holidays are a very popular period, so don't delay too much.

Have a great time in our country.

Thanks avrooster, exactly what I was looking for. Is there any particular area you would recommend?

Laprida Suites at

byt that avrooster mentions is often spoken of.

I recommend Recoleta and Palermo...with Palermo Soho, Hollywood etc after..

Almost every apt comes with weekly maid service, a phone in the apt, cable tv and a/c.
Depending on rent is what sort of poshness comes along with it.
Apartments BA are the most posh that I know of, and cost more too.
Bare bones apartments can be extremely inexpensive.

Look for an apt that is on a quiet side street, not a main Big street.
For Christmas- get A/C
If the apt is fabulous and on a main noisy street, try to get on that is contrafrente or in the back.

Have fun

For first-time visitors, the alternative usually is: Recoleta or Palermo?

So, it's a matter of taste. A little research in this and other Argentina forums, such as http://tinyurl.com/nw9f4
will give you an idea of what to expect in each "barrio" or area.

Thanks for all your suggestions, I will let you know what we decide upon. Really looking forward to BA at the end of our round the world trip after spending a couple of months in Argentina.
