Anyone been to Uraguay?
 

It looks like an interesting country - if you have been would you advise for a family vacation?

We were in Montevideo and Punta del Este a month ago.

We really liked it, very safe and friendly. I wouldn't go just there, we did it as side trip from Buenos Aires.

Hi, what time of the year? It will make a difference because in their Summer their beaches are outstanding. But if not combined with Argentina it can be a very exciting destination. THere are many estancias where you can spend sometime riding horses, and enjoying country life. THere are good, excellent resort hotels like the Four Season in Carmelo, Punta del Este is the chosen place for latinamericans from many neigboring countries like Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay.....if you wish to know more , I shall be most than happy to try to help you.
