Any suggestions for 1st time visitors o Cancun

We are staying at JW Marriot club level last week in September. Any dinner recommendations or daytime "must do's". We've never been to Mexico.

hi, do a search on this forum for Cancun, and you'll find tons of data!
(also a search on the JW will yield up a lot)
Fodors.com and Frommers.com have comprehensive restaurant lists, with ratings. Las Habichuelas is a big favorite -- I'd definitely go back.
Take the bus, it's fun, easy and cheap!
Go to Isla Mujeres on a day trip, and rent a golf cart. Or rent a car and go to Tulum and Playa del Carmen.
Hope you have a WONDERFUL time. You've picked a great hotel and a great area!

Ditto Frankie! Also try Laguna Grill across the street from your hotel and a little South. If you like nice jewelry visit Maraf at Kukulkan Mall and ask for Rosa Magan. She really knows her stuff and gets to "best price" quickly.
Seriously tell her Michael Douglas and catalina Zeta Jones referred you! They will know! Finally at lease look into LaMadonna at La Isla. And finally, finally get a map/guide from mapchick.com! have fun!

Sorry I cannot recommend dinner recommendations, but you should try to see at least one of the 3 major Mayan ruins.

1st choice - Chichen Itza
2nd & choice (tied) - Tulum or Coba
