Any problem using large bill

We plan to carry some cash to Peru. Is there any problem using large bills (50/100)?

Thanks!

In Mexico and Honduras this is a big problem because once you get off the beaten path people don't have change. Its better to use the local currency unless you are doing strictly the tourist thing. I have not been to Peru, but I just asked a Peruvian co-worker who said it is the same thing.

Make it easy on you... use credit cards and carry only some small chage...

NO there isn't any problem using large bills in Peru. But it's better to use smaller bills i.e. $20.00 instead.

Yes, there is a big problem. Believe me I was just there in September and I got frustrated too many times to count.
You're better off taking clean $20 bills and what I mean by clean is that NO WRITING should be on your bills or you might have trouble having establishments accept it. counter fitting is very common so people in Peru are very careful with this situation.
I hope you have a very good time on your trip!
