Are there any car rental options in the Jaco area? We will be arriving in July and staying at the Marriottt Los Suenos. We are planning on using private drivers for the most part, but would like to have the option of a Rental if we feel comfortable at the time.

I saw a post somewhere from someone who said they rented a car from the Marriott for $30.00 per hour, 8 hour minimum. That is ridiculous, it is much cheaper to have a private driver then pay this. I am hopping there is a rental company with normal rates available.

Almost any company you can think of. You can choose from the main street in Jaco or Alamo has rentals from Los Suenos. Personally I prefer National/Alamo. We've used them for years with no problems, very professional.

Thrifty dropped off a car for us 2 weeks ago when my husband and I were staying at Xandari at the Pacific. No problems with the car or the company...

I have heard National is the Los Suenos Marina, since we are staying at the Marriott I will use them if we need a car.
