Hi, everybody! Has anyone used this website to book a hotel? I'm thinking of booking a resort (Grand Xcaret) through this website, but I don't know if they're reliable. Thanks!

you can try bookit.com or skyauction for that resort too.

Oh my gosh!!!How horrific. That alone is enough for me to never think about that resort. Pool drains are known to be dangerous and a resort of that calibur should not have that happen.

I would not let that incident keep you from that resort. It occured FOUR years ago and cetain people insist on bringing it up on every post. The problem has been taken care of.
I've heard of incidents like this right here in the good old USA.

It won't keep me from going to Mexico either, but it's good to be aware of. Yes, bad things happen here, but we all need to be aware that there are not the regulations in place in Mexico that we have, so it happens much more frequently than most of us realize. And I don't think it's fair to say it's ben "taken care of". What does that mean? That they covered that drain? They certainly haven't responded well to the family. Not trying to be difficult - I will still go to Mexico this summer, but it was a wake-up call to me that we need to understand we are not in the US with many of the safety regulations we take for granted....
