Allegro in Puerto Vallarta - ?experiences
 

I recently received a free week in a Mexico Allegro/Occidental resort due to an overbooking problem at the Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen. In any case, we wanted to try something different than the Royal Hideaway and but also something really nice. Has anyone stayed at the Allegro/Occidental resort in Puerto Vallarta? Can you make any comments or criticisms? Any info would be helpful.<BR>Thanks

I do not think it is quite the level as The Royal Hideaway (we were there and it was first class all the way.) Did they give this to you in addition to your Playa del Carmen trip? It would not be an equal trade otherwise.

Yes, this was in addition to six days at RH and one night elsewhere. I know that the Puerto Vallarta resort is not the same callibre but have you been to both? Any specific concerns or praises?<BR>Thanks

We were offered a free week at any Allegro/Occidental resort in Mexico and although we loved the Royal Hideaway were hoping to try one of the other resorts. Since we are trying to choose amongst several other resorts, we were interested in some specific feedback about Puerto Vallarta, etc.
