All inclusive in Mexico for a family reunion?

Mom wants to treat everyone to a trip in January for her 70th birthday. We're three families with young children and mom. She's on a moderate budget. We're thinking that an AI with family rooms and a kids' club would be a good choice for everyone's different tastes and interests. None of us have been to an AI and have no idea how much they cost or what to expect. We have some used to luxury that may be a bit spoiled that way. Some others are coming from Hawaii and are spoiled by those beaches too.
Any suggestions?

There are doezen in the Playa Del Carmen/ Mayan Rivera area. Do a text search in the forum for "PDC AI" and "Mayan riviera ai". You will find many posts making suggestions.

Do you have ANY idea what part of Mexico you want to visit?

Puerto Vallarta is a nice city on the Pacific Coast and has lots of options for hotels and resorts in all price ranges.
