Airfare to Cancun
I would like to go to PDC in March 2008. I've been before and am used to paying $400-$425 per ticket (non-stop only, please). Now the tix seem closer to $500. Is that the best I'll get for spring break?
Thanks! Melissa |
Beats me, I've been watching the fares to Cancun for months. From here in Iowa, I'm used to paying about $500.00. Since our dates are restricted, and there are four of us, I bought tickets last week at $637.00. Ouch. They've since dropped $5.00.
Right now Northwest is way cheaper than anyone else. Unfortunately, you can't view their available seats, so I have no idea how full the flights are. |
I'm in Philadelphia so am stuck with USAir for non-stop to Cancun. Luckily taking carryon-only is easy for Mexico!
Maybe $500 it is... |
Just got a blurb in my e-mail about fare sales in March. You need to be able to travel mid-week though.

Are there any charters that fly out near you - like Funjet or WorryFree. Usually you can purchase "air only".
|
Two more options, if you want to hoof it to NYC:
JetBlue from JFK (though unlikely they will be much cheaper; there fares are now often MORE expensive than other carriers); and Spirit from LGA. I think they fly to CUN via Ft Lauderdale or similar, and they have had some very good fares in the past. |

Pull up the NWA flights you want on Orbitz & then you'll be able to see the sear availability. |
I can't find seats on Orbitz either. Apparently, NWA doesn't display seat availability until 90 days or closer to departure. It's a pain in the butt.
|
Try the old fashioned way and call a NWA ticket agent and say you can't firm up your plans yet but are wondering if the flights are getting full. That should give you some idea.
