Air Fare to Puerto Vallarta
 

Hi, Is anyone else looking to go to PV at Christmas time finding air fares very high? I'm looking to drive to Minneapolis (4 Hours) and the price will still be over $800. That just seems high so far in advance even though I know it is high season. Anyone going? Thanks, Owa

Check with a travel agent who sells Apple Vacations. They have some nonstop charter flights from various US gateways & they can do air only if you don't need the hotel. May be less than what you have found so far.

Thanks Sclubb for the reply. Apple Vacations do not have a charter out of Minneapolis. I would try Omaha, but my daughters and family are in Bemidji and Rochester so we meet in Minneapolis. Thanks again.

Try Sun Country. They're currently showing fares in the December timeframe for $329 RT from MSP to PVR.

If that doesn't work, try Frontier --- they're showing fares in the mid $400 range for December. YOu might try joggling your dates a few days if you still keep seeing high fares.

$800....that's ridiculous, IMHO.

Tiogringo, thanks for the reply. I wish I could be more flexible with my dates--that I suppose is the real problem. The 4 grandkids only have a week off this Christmas which means we probably will have to pay the big prices. Thanks again.

Tiogringo, I should give you the travel agent fee for suggesting Sun Country!! I asked my travel agent, she checked and came back with $470/ticket. We are going 23-30 December. The price you quoted sounded wonderful, but I'm happy with the $470. Thanks for your reply. Owa
