Advice for 1st visit to Argentina
 

I've been reading some of the great posts here about traveling to Argentina. My dream is to spend a month down in Patagonia, but we only have a short 2-weeks this time around, so we thought we'd stay in the northern part of the country.

We're planning a holiday in late October. Looking to spend a few days in BA, then maybe go up to Tigre and the delta for a couple days, then back to BA and heading west. We thought about taking a bus to Cordoba, spending a few days there. Then hoping another bus to Mendoza and spending 3-4 days before heading back to BA (maybe take a flight back). Or try to go over to Santiago before flying back to BA.

We're in our early 30's and love to be outdoors exploring and staying active. Is the rough itinerary sound feasible? Any suggestions? Is traveling by bus a good way to go?

All thoughts are quite helpful and appreciated! :)

we only went out in the delta beyond tigre as a day trip, but would definetly spend more time on a return visit, there r many small resorts reachable by but and the river was nice to swim in. plenty of good kayaking , canoeing and rowing opportunities i'd imagine as well

Thanks AndrewDavid! I had heard one could take rent a kayak and a cabin on one of the many islands. Good to know it's worth a couple days visit. :)

Tigre is really a sweet spot...i suggest renting a cabin therefor 2 nights and just relaxing..in the summer months it can be very buggy so take some OFF!

Good to know, especially after the bug bites I was sporting in Costa Rica this winter!

I've read it's easy to just arrive and book accomodations once there (Tigre). Any recommendations on whether we should book ahead or wing it?
