A bus in Manuel Antonio???
I read in old message boards and on trip advisor that it is easy to get around in Manuel Antonio if you don't have a car b/c of the bus -- what bus are they talking about? Does it take you in town? to restaurants etc?
Thanks |
There's a public bus that runs along the main road. We never got the chance to take it. We were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go, although you have to be careful on the roads. Our most expensive cab fare was only five dollars. It's pretty easy to get around in this area.

thanks for putting me at ease!

My pleasure - I hope someone can give you some info. on the bus. We hired a guide to tour the park, and he picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. Most people don't get a car in MA. Have a wonderful trip.

I am a frequent bus user. As VG has said, it runs along the main road from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio beach area. it costs about 210 colones - less than 50 cents. it runs about every half hour. (At times there may be 3 buses per hour.) The bus does not run too late. I think the last bus is about 9.30 PM. But in general at night it is adviseable to take a cab.
There is also a bus (its the yellow one) that runs from Quepos to Beizansz beach (Playa Vizan) several times a day. depending on where you are staying and where you want to go the bus may or may not be that useful to you. pura vida raquel |
We use the bus when we r there(family of 4). It passes about every 15 min on the main road running from MA park to the terminal in Quepos. It's a "bus" kinda bus....same as Canada or US. Very inexpensive.....if we had just missed it, we would hail a passing cab, anywhere from $2-$5 for that. No probs whatsoever.
