40 yr olds to cancun
 

we are a group of fun-young at heart- friends who are turning 40 and are going to cancun from march 5-10. do you think we will be the oldest ones at the bars such as senior frogs? we want to stay at a Palace property-- was at the moon palce this summer and felt it was too far off the hotel zone)--we are considering the sun palace or the cancun palace. what do you think? i fear the sun palace will be boring but quite and the cancun palace might be full of spring breakers. has anyone been to these properties? thanks!

The Cancun Palace would be my choice. It is located on a very nice beach and the bar staff and entertainment are above average,IMO.

We were there several years ago in March (about a week later than you). The Cancun palace was loaded with spring breakers. The Sun Palace was mostly couples (20s-40s), we were actually one of the few families there. If spring breakers are a concern, you may want to check with the Cancun Palace.

i am sort of leaning towards the cancun palace because it seems to be more fun oriented however, it am still not sure. has anyone been to these 2 properties recently ???

I have never been in Senor Frogs. We were there in what turned out to be high school grad week a few years ago (I was in my mid 30s then). We decided while in line that Senor Frogs was not a good place to be, but we are not into the club scene much anyway.

IMHO Cancun is not a place for 40's people from the last week of Feb thru the week after Easter. The spring break scence is just too nuts.
Consider Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, Akumal, or Playa Del Carmen--I have listed in order of my preferance.

I have beeen to Cancun Palace and Sun Palace. Cancun palace is my choice by far. More fun. I am in my late 50s. I have been to Senior frogs and age doesnt matter. It is packed and everyone has a great time. Email me for more information.
