2 night package to Tikal
 

Planning a trip for February next year. In scanning the usual tour companies, all I am seeing are 1 night 2 day packages from Antigua. When I was looking several months ago, it seemed like I found several 2 night ones, now they have disappeared.

We would love to spend 2 nights at the Hotel Tikal Inn; I am a bit leery of booking our flights and hotel separately.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

We booked our trip through Elizabeth Bell's travel agency in Antigua. Google it, and I'm sure she could help.

My two cents would be to just book them seperately...it won't be difficult and will probably save you, especially since you know the hotel you want to stay at. As for the flight, it can be booked directly at www.taca.com

If you do prefer to use a travel agency, Rainbow Travel in Antigua has been highly recommended to me by several people...they have a two night Tikal package listed on their website: http://www.guatemalareservations.com/

Well, I have just booked 2 nights at the Hotel Tikal Inn with no package, $138 a night for a bungalow including taxes, dinner and breakfast. Airfare to Tikal and back looks to be about $230 a ticket, so I am happy. We will see about a guided tour when we get there.
