What a fun report...

After reading this for weeks, you JUST must finish... ;;)

Thanks for the spirited writing... it has been greatly enjoyable.

Trish, leaving for Costa Rica in 36 hours! Sure hope to hear all about Day 13 before we leave! My husband keeps asking if you've written any more! We're all waiting. . . . .:)

LA_FadeAway Jun 21st, 2004 11:59 PM

Shillmac,
Have a great trip!!! Thanks for all your help!

seh2397 Jun 29th, 2004 04:14 AM

Trish,

I check every day to see how the end of your vacation went. I appreciate what you've contributed so far and can't wait for the final chapter!

Thanks!

OK so you have seriously caused panic for me about the flying beetles. Tell me more(she says with extreme concern and hestitation).(I love your story, my husband and I are doing the same trip, same age, etc.) Jane

Ally Jul 1st, 2004 06:27 AM

Don't concern yourself with the beetles. In my 9 trips and my husbands 12, I only had that one probelm with a beetle.

janeann Jul 2nd, 2004 05:49 AM

Ally, thanks for your reponse. That makes me feel much better. What was that one problem???

Ally Jul 2nd, 2004 07:49 AM

I wrote about it in this same thread, on 6/4. Scroll back up to read about it, but really, don't worry!

janeann Jul 2nd, 2004 12:45 PM

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Ally. I am working on not worrying, but....did you encounter Goliath's brother anywhere?

makai1 Jul 3rd, 2004 11:17 AM

What happened to trvlbug??

trevorjoyce Jul 4th, 2004 06:11 AM

I wonder too...and where is Mona Manual? I had looked forward to her report!

uhoh_busted Jul 4th, 2004 04:29 PM

OMG. This is the funniest trip report on ANYWHERE i have yet to read on Fodors. We are planning a trip next year (our daughter has been twice, already, working for 3 months last time) I've got to send this to her. She had us in convulsions with HER stories about traveling around the country, so she will relate 100%

Molly2 Jul 18th, 2004 04:32 PM

Trish, I was actually worried that I would miss your last trip report while I was in Costa Rica! But it appears that I haven't. Where are you - we are all eagerly awating your finale!

faithie Oct 13th, 2005 12:58 PM

I simply had to bring this to the top ,I was searching for someything else and came across it , what an awesome report and super way to approach whatever might ( and probably will ) come your way in Central America !!! I wonder what happened to the last installment ???

surfexec Oct 14th, 2005 10:52 AM

Faithie,
Thanks for bringing this to the top! I really enjoyed this report as well and wonder what ever happened to trvlbug? Hopefully, something good...maybe she decided to write a book and is putting her writing efforts there?

daphne142 May 9th, 2006 10:47 AM

What a great read! Bumping it to the top so others can enjoy. What happened to trvlbug? I'd love to know how the trip ended!

adamfam May 10th, 2006 05:56 PM

Trvlbug,
Your report is a treasure. My wife and I spent the evening re living our Costa Rica trip from June/July of last year as we followed your journey. What a wonderful gift you have with writing. Thank you for the memories. Great report.
Bill
