1st time in Costa Rica: Guanacaste or Manuel Antonia

This is our first time in Costa Rica and we'll be there for 5 days in mid-February. We are staying one night at Tabacon and then deciding whether to stay the rest of the time either at the JW Marriott in Guanacaste or somewhere near/in Manuel Antonio. Which would you recommend? I assume it would be too much to try to hit all three areas.

If you recommend the JW Marriott at Guanacaste, what other things should we consider doing in that area.

If you recommend Manuel Antonio area, where should we stay? We prefer something on the beach if possible.

Manuel Antonio is nice. I would question going to the Arenal area for just one night though. That's a lot of time to spend on the road for just one night's stay, and there's a lot to do in that area.

Here's another vote for Manuel Antonio. The park has several beaches, and the website that qwovadis shared the link for seems to have everything you'll need to find a place to stay there. If you want more information, I wrote an article about Manuel Antonio that you can find here: http://blog.palmscostarica.com/costa...onal-park.html

Yes, Manuel Antonio is your best option, also try to split your five days, like maybe 2 nights at Tabacon and 3 nights at Manuel Antonio
