Arenal night hike?

I did not do any night hikes in Arenal but I did 3 of them in Monteverde and they were FANTASTIC. I saw tranatulas, snakes, scorpions, Tucan, Quezals, and many other animals.
Ask your hotel when you get there where the best toured night walks are. Mine were 2 hours each. Enjoy!

It has been a few years back, but we did a night hike at Arenal and very much enjoyed it.
I understand you can book these hikes from most any hotel, however we booked with a company that had an office in town. We chose an operator that was recommended in the Lonely Planet Guidebook - my book is on loan, so I can't give you the exact name of the company.
However, a local guide picked us up, as well as another couple. The 4 of us experienced a leisurely, not too streneous, but got the heart rate jumping, hike into the forest. The guide was great to point out things he saw, that we would have missed. Gave us a vast amount of history on the area as well as sharing so much information on the wildlife, etc.
As we were coming out of the forest it was just beginning to get dark, no clouds in the sky and we were fortunate to see an incredible display of red rocks tumbling down the mountain.
Our van was waiting for us in an open area, along with others. They had soft drinks for us. We gathered with others and watched the show.
Can't recall how long we took.
Looked back at the pictures, we were wearing low cut hiking boots, shorts, short sleeve shirts and had our lightweight rainjackets with us, but not on.
