weird time stamp anomaly

OK - bear w/ me, this may be hard to describe . .

When I go to the USA Forum 'front page' -- all the threads have an EDT time stamp. But when I open a thread, the times on the thread list revert to my local (PDT) time.

Even weirder, this happens on some forums but not all. On USA and Mexico the times change from EDT to PDT when I open a thread. While on Europe and Asia -- everything is PDT from the get go. I haven't checked every forum to see if any others are affected.

All posts w/i a thread have my local PDT time stamp as they have since you made that programming change.

I have it too - since the last update, and on all the forums plus sometimes they change to CET+1 and sometimes they don't when I open a thread. Very annoying.

Probably better if we both posted in the forum's Help section though .

Got the same yesterday. I thought, as we just came from Europe, somehow my computer got infected with the jet-lag too

janisj - are you still having problems with the timestamp? I made a change in attempt to fix the date you see.

Hi Bryan, No, it still shows different time stamps -- on the thread list for the 'Master forums' it shows EDT, but after opening a thread the time hacks revert to my own time zone.

Just now, this thread was both at the top of the Europe Forum thread list AND the first "New Topic" so the thread title displayed right next to itself. In the thread list it displayed 11:58PM and right next door it showed as 8:58PM

(See PatrickLondon's thread about the same thing)

In the grand scheme of things -- not a huge issue-- but it does look weird. Probably only looks 'normal' to those in the Eastern Time zone.

Thanks for verifying it's still a problem. I can appreciate why it is important to those of us not in the EST, so I'll keep working on the issue.

Ok....I didn't forget about this problem. I'm hoping it's fixed now. Can you let me know if you are still seeing the odd timestamps?

Thanks for your patience!
