I see the mods are asleep in the Europe forum

So much spam that I am not even going to bother reporting it.

And some of us can't even try to report it. I've tried! --

I think some of the regular posters from each sub-forum need to be "deputized" and given the ability to hide spam posts until the mods can come in and delete them.

Have just counted on the Europe forum. On the 50 threads, just 30 of them are the Korean things. That's too many and too much. Annoying.

I think it's a big internet, and nothing is keeping us on this sinking ship.

I'm pretty sure some trusted posters HAVE been deputized with that, or a similar, function. I suspect that the difficulty is keeping up with this particular bot.

Holy crap.

There is no way that I am going to sit there and report all of those spams in the Europe forum.

Can the admins deputize someone to remove these spams if they aren't going to do it themselves?

IMO/IME there is absolutely no reason to report the crazy spam on the forums. It is very (VERY) obvious that its is spam and it does get deleted in time.

Save your 'triangling' (and sanity ) for posts buried in threads, like ads and personal attacks and such that the staff wouldn't necessarily find.

Again, sparkchaser, they HAVE deputized a few people who seem to be doing everything they can. And as janisj says, you don't need to triangle them -- posts in Hangul are pretty obvious.

kja - I'm curious. When you say they've deputized a few people do you mean that some Fodors posters have access to the site and can delete the spam posts?

If I hop onto Fodors and see that the Europe sub-forum is flooded with spam, I'm clicking out and going elsewhere to spend my leisure time and Fodor's has lost out on the time I was planning on spending there.

OK -- done beating this dead horse yet? You have made it abundantly clear you are unhappy.

What would be amusing if it weren't so annoying is that you have posted twice as often on this exhausted topic than you ever have on any useful topic.

We don't know if it was deleted or if sparkchaser went away voluntarily.

If the profile was deleted by the editors in error, sparkchaser can e-mail them and get it fixed.
