Fodors Tech Support- I am running Safari 12.0 on my MacBook Pro. Still getting the error message. Thanks for addressing.

I just talked with Mac Support. She said they have gotten lots of calls on this--not specific to Fodor's. She ran thru lots of steps with me and I will see if this alleviates the issue. Fodor's have you done anything to improve/correct the site?

Even with Firefox? If you were using Safari, I'd just avoid it with Fodor's for now - and probably on any other IB-run forum sites you may use.

Yes, it only happens on Safari. I'm back to Chrome until it gets fixed.

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the delayed response. We are aware of this issue but as of now don't have an immediate solution. We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences.

Not "any" inconvenience, "the" inconvenience. Why are we waiting?

Just use a different browser - Firefox or Chrome. The problem is with Apple's latest version of Safari. The forum software works fine with all other browsers and older versions of Safari.

You may wish to start a new thread about that - this would seem to have nothing to do with the Mac/Safari problem. (Neither my Android phone nor my laptop have any problem with the certificate for Fodor's which is shown as valid until March 19, 2019.)

I have an iMac and have gotten that message. Right now I'm using Firefox and am being interrupted by ads playing... even if I mute the sound of the ad.
The ads don't play fully...just partially. Very annoying.

You're referring to video ads playing? Do they play audio automatically? Can you post a screen shot of one please?

ibobi -- any status updates on the initial problem posted on this thread? It only happens to me when I am on Safari, Chrome and Firefox work fine with Fodor's. Thanks!

There are no updates at this time, I'm sorry. The issue has been reported to our tech department.

My 2013 MacBook Air runs MacOS Sierra, and I access fodors via Safari 12.0.2.
Have never had a problem.

I click the x in the message box and it goes away and doesn't come back for the session. I just had some software upgrades done and my adblocker got left out, but I recently got the message again on my MacBook Pro and now use Safari 12.0.1
