I've had problem posting pictures too. I use my phone android and ipad. I can't recall which one but it will open a spot that looks like the picture can be resized but I can't seem to figure it out. So when I post one it's hit or miss. The picture gallery shows my picture the amount of times I try as I delete and try again.

Niki - yes, I posted using the attachment option and the photo was huge, couldn't make out any images in it.
I might try one of the online sites like hetismj posted. As I said, in Houzz forums (formerly Gardenweb) one doesn't have to resize in order to post.

Sounds like your Paint might be corrupted . . do you see the small dotted squares at the top that are highlited here:

Yes, I just now found that dotted square! How did I miss that before? Sheesh. And I see where to change the pixel size. Ok, I'm going to go to the test side and try posting a pic of a flower and see if it shows up the right size. Thanks again.

Turns out my Windows 10 didn't install Paint. Just Paint 3d. I'm going to have to hunt that down, just never looked for it until now. Probably just as easy to find some other shareware that can resize a jpeg though.

Have tyou tried looking for it this way?

In the search box next to Start on the taskbar, type paint and then select Paint from the list of results.

You can resize images in Paint3D, but it's less obvious ( although simple when explained)

If you click on the crosshatch symbol on the toolbar, then select Canvas, it goes to the resize mode.
