Fodor's Travel Talk Forums - RULES for photos contests

The basic rules of the contest are as follows; for complete legaleze small print, please see below.

One photo per post is eligible; if you put more than one photo into a post, only the first photo will be eligible to win, and will receive all that post's "likes"; the mods reserve the right to delete additional photos in the post
Contest is open to all members with a US mailing address, who have not won the previous month's contest
Contest runs from 12 noon Pacific time, first business day of the month to 12 noon Pacific time, last business day of the month
Only photos posted in the official contest thread are eligible
A maximum of five photos per month, per person, are eligible for the contest; you may make 5 posts on the first day, or space them out throughout the month, it's up to you
All photos must be the property of the poster; you must have taken the photo; you must own the copyright
All photos must be travel photos and have some relevance to this contest topic
Photos cannot have won this contest previously, or have been entered in the previous month's contest
Winning photos are determined by eligibility plus the total number of "likes" received by the photo during the contest period; eligibility and "likes" totals will be audited for accuracy, and the administrators reserve the right to alter "likes" totals to avoid gaming the system; creation of duplicate accounts for the purposes of altering the contest outcome will result in permanent ineligibility from the contest, as well as from Fodor's Forums, in perpetuity

Comments on photos are permitted; however, the "like" should be awarded based on the quality of the photo itself, not on the story accompanying it; only the "likes" awarded to the original photo post will be counted -- "likes" made on subsequent replies or quoted posts will not be considered for the contest
Winners will receive a Fodor's book of their choice, as well as some Fodor's swag; prizes will be mailed within 4-6 weeks of the winner announcement for the previous month
Photos should be subjected to no additional post-processing or editing, except for cropping and resizing to fit the parameters of the site
Maximum photo file size is 5MB with dimensions not to exceed 1920 pixels in width and 1080 pixels in height
Recommended file types are JPEG, JPG, BMP, and PNG
