Zurich to Boston
Hi, trying to help someone find flights... but prices are CRAZY...or the flight has 3 stops and 4 airports... Does anyone know a way to do this without breaking the bank or one's patience? I thought of using Ryanair to go from Zurich to Dublin, but they don't fly any of the days around her day....tentatively July 5th. but thought Zurich to Dublin, Dublin to Boston. If i do a kayak type search i get Zurich to I think it's London, London to Newark, Newark to Laguardia on your own, and then Laguardia to Boston. That one is out, and it is rather expensive to boot. If you know of a way to do it with airline miles, that might work. Thanks.

Just how "crazy" are the good flights that you have found.
Prices are up this summer and your price may not rally be bad.
If you look at skyscanner there are flights with 1 brief stop in Iceland for about $700.

www.itasoftware.com is more complete for trans-Atlantic flights. It's run by Google, for the airlines, and does not sell tickets. The shopper can use its information on schedules to go to the airlines themselves. I love Skyscanner for European budget flights but have found no use for it trans-Atlantic. www.cheapoair.com is the easiest (for me) to use although any follow-up service is chancy at best.

No what I found was 1 stop - in Iceland - for about 3 hours. the whole trip was around 11 or 12 hours. I looked specifically for July 5, the listings with 1 stop.
The flight is Icelandair F1569, leaving Zurich at 14:00 hours and arriving at Logan at 18:35. Cost is $741.02.
Suggest you or your friend go to Icelandair web site now to find and book this flight as there are only a couple of seats left per the web site.

As for any problems in Iceland - suggest you post that as a question here. I know a lot of people take flights like this due to the very low prices and have never heard any odd complaints.
Can't comment since we have not done this personally - but if there were a real issue I would think it would be all over this board.
It seems like this person has a lot of very specific needs that may be resulting in such very high fares.
