Zurich nearby ski resort

Hi All

I'm flying into Zurich at 8pm, can anyone recommend a nearby ski resort and if it can be got to that night or would it be better to stay in Zurich then travel in the morning? Looking at 2 days of skiing then a day trip to Lichtenstein before flying back from Zurich.

Thanks and the best ski resort for intermediate skiing with close proximity to the slopes and ski hire etc as I won't be driving.

Thanks, I've seen these general overviews, just wanted any personal recommendations and also is ski hire available in every resort?

The ski resorts are not just around Zurich airport. If you land there at 8pm, you may leave Zurich airport by train around 8.40pm in the best case.
You will then arrive at your ski resoorrt very late, for example at
Davos at 23.59 (departure 30 min later possible)
Andermatt at 23.24 (last train)
Engelberg at 22.53 (departure 30 min later possible)
Grindelwald at 23.35 (last train)
Saas Fee at 00.29 (last train)
I wouldn't spend the night at Zurich, but at a nice place between Zurich airport and the ski resort
According to the place you will choose, that could be Sargans, Zug or Berne.

Liechtenstein has a ski resort too: Malbun
In the case there should be enough snow at your arrival date, you coud head directly to Sargans (trains until midnight, 1 1/4 hrs journey) and go on to Malbun the day after (bus every hr, 1 hr journey).

Thanks for the details, much appreciated, I'll take a first night near Zurich then on to the slopes. Thanks again
