Zurich Hotels
Which hotel is a better location for a week in Zurich? The Marriott Hotel or The Renaissance Tower Hotel? Which has the nicer Club Room? We will sightseeing in November and would like to walk mostly. Thank you.

I think the Marriott is in a better location, though it is not a "great" location either. The Renaissance is near some decent transit options.
Have never stayed at the Renaissance, but have stayed at the Marriott. The Marriott is okay. Nothing great, but okay. |
You might try looking at the Marriott forum on Flyertalk. I've only stayed on the club floor at the Renaissance that is further out (Glattpark).

A week is an awfully long time to spend in zurich - and you don;t mention what you are there for - business or meeting or ?
If not - do you have other time set aside for the mountains - since Zurich is primarily a business city and definitely not the best of Switz. |
Switzerland is one of my favorite destinations, but I wouldn't stay more than a night or two in Zurich, when there is gorgeous scenery to the south and south-east (too far for a day trip). I stayed at the Kindli, a boutique hotel located in the heart of the old town, and it was well worth it for comfort, charm and location.
