Zurich hotels
 

Hello! Can anyone give me some links to sites that list hotels in Zurich? Or better yet, do you have any recommendations along with contact info (website, e-mail address or phone number)? We're thinking of going for a weekend sometime soon and would like a hotel near the main train station that's quiet and preferably less than $100 per night. Other than that, we're not picky at all. Thanks!

Paige hello! <BR>Life in Zurich is back to normal after last weekend's Street Parade! <BR> <BR>It will be kind of difficult to find a 3-star in your price range. <BR>You can try the Walhalla Hotel, very close to the train station at www.walhalla-hotel.ch. <BR>The Hotel City at www.hotelcity.ch has special weekend rates at some CHF 200.- (slightly over USD 100.-) and is very well located. Another possibility is the Hotel Leoneck at www.leoneck.ch however a little less central from shopping area and lake. <BR>Anyway, Zurich can be done mostly by walking, unless you are interested in a special thing (like the zoo) in the outskirts. <BR> <BR>Otherwise, go to www.zurichtourism.ch. Go to the English version. Click "accommodation" and type in what you like to have (stars, dates, etc.). Most hotels have their own webpage you can click and then contact them directly. <BR>The Hotel Kindli is CHF 280.- to 310.- for a double, has only some 20 rooms and is often booked a long time ahead. <BR> <BR>Come back, if you need further info. Hi Paige, <BR> <BR>I used the web site that Ursula recommended to find my hotel in Zurich. <BR>www.zurichtourism.ch is a very good web site. Another is www.hotel-reservation-zurich.com <BR>After you have made a few selections to choose from come back to www.fodors.com to check out their recommendations and rants & raves on hotels. Also check out Frommers web site www.frommers.com <BR>Checking out these web sites takes time but you get a lot of good info. <BR>Good luck with your search.
