Zurich Hotel

I would appreciate any help regarding hotels in Zurich. We already have a reservation at The Leoneck (7/1/05) but we just booked our flight and we have to catch the 5:00 am train to Zurich Airport. Is the hotel close enough to the train station to walk to at 4:30 in the morning? I have also checked with iPR Guestroom but they only have bunk beds and a shared bathroom for 45CHF per person and the Leoneck is 285 CHF for two rooms. Thanks for any ideas.

Hotel Leoneck is roughly a half-mile from the station, I would estimate. I recall that we arrived at the station, which is quite large, and walked across the bridge, then veering left to go up a fairly steep hill for about a block, then the Leoneck is just to the right at the top. It seems like it took about 20 minutes. I do not know what it would be like to walk at 4:30 am, however.

How many nights are you in the area? Would it be easier to spend this night at an airport hotel?

A prepaid queen or twin room at the Hilton airport is 199CHF (398 for 2 rooms).

Thank you. Maybe I'll look into some hotels near the airport instead.

You can also try the Zurich Marriott--about the same distance from the train station as the other hotel you mention, but a level walk along the river. Relatively cheap if still available as a Priceline hotel, and quite nice as well.

Hotel Bristol has doubles from 150-195 SF. It's across the river and 2 blocks from the train station. www.hotelbristol.ch
