Zurich for 24 Hours
Staying at the Sofitel in Zurich and would like some recommendations of nearby sites to see & trendy, popular places to eat lunch and dinner. Will be our last night in Europe after 10 days in Italy.
|
Really, it would be best if you ask the staff at the Sofitel where are the best places to eat and/or drink. And don't ask just one member; ask a bellboy, the desk clerk, and the concierge if they have one. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the quick respons. I will ask the hotel. That makes the most sense!
|
There are a few beer halls which are great for dining. They are big and somewhat elegant, especially compared with Munich's Hofbrauhaus. Ask for the nice beer halls. They will surprise you with their atmosphere and the food choices.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will print them out and try to work thru the list! Might have to try the elegant beer halls as well!

I would also recommend walking around the old town on the Right Bank, there are lots of quaint squares, small cafes and interesting shoppes. At this time of year, you may want to take a boat cruise on Lake Zurich, or just do some window shoppin along the Bahnhofstrasse.<BR>I was very surprised at how much there was to do in what is generally considered a 'business city'.
