Zoom Air Sale - Flying out of Canada

I just received a "5 Year Anniversary" e-mail from Zoom Air. They are having specials on flights to Europe.

Just for fun (wink, wink), I put in Vancouver-CDG for November 5, returning November 13th.

Fare, taxes and charges totals: $684.50Cdn

Of course flying from the east coast will probably be even cheaper (dang!)

Now...if I can just convince my hubby to go..with those prices how can you NOT?

Just posting in case someone is looking for airfare from Canada to Paris this fall!

Cheers

That's excellent, camelbak - and I think this would be attractive to people all over the Pacific Northwest, maybe even Idaho and Montana. I'm not sure if Calgary is an option. And east coast Americans might want to check out the Toronto and Montreal options.

Other options:

I just went to their website and when I clicked on the US flag, a message came up stating that they cannot currently fly out of the US.

No Zoom doesn't fly out of the US...but they do fly out of all major Canadian cities.

So...if you live near Seattle, or Portland, etc., you could fly out of Vancouver.

Near Detroit, etc. (not great with my eastern geography sorry) you could fly out of Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, etc.

Zoom is starting NYC to London soon, but I think only UK people can book it.

We just booked tickets from Montreal to Paris September 22-30 for $560 USD. Montreal is only a two-hour drive for us, and while I usually like to fly straight out of my home airport (BTV), for the $250 savings, I didn't hesitate long before buying Zoom tickets! Long-term parking at the Montreal airport is pretty reasonable too (about $50 USD for 8 days.)

I'd love to hear about anyone else's experience actually flying on Zoom. I've found a few reviews - some good, some bad - same as you find about any airline, I guess!

My SIL flew on Zoom for her trip to Paris last fall. She was pleasantly surprised at the service, inboard entertainment, etc. No complaints from her....after all is just a way to get from point A to point B.

I personally haven't flown with them...but for a $650 return from Vancouver to Paris...I'm IN!

Sigh...still have to convince DH.

Flights from Vancouver to Paris stops at Calgary on the way and on the way back. So if Calgary is closer to you than Vancouver, definitely go to Calgary. (Unless they've changed their flight routes since my trip last September).

That's right Camelbak. Actually my complaint is that if you get a seat with a slightly broken tray for your meal, it's a bit lopsided. But this wasn't much to get stressed over so I didn't complain about it. Also, I'm short so leg room wasn't a big deal. But if you're tall, you may want to watch the leg room and upgrade to premium if you really want to have a better legroom. Even with premium, it's still a great deal.
