Zimmer in Munich
Hi,
I'll be arriving in Munich on the evening of my 30th birthday (May 17) and have been looking for a decent "Zimmer frei" in Munich. We're considering trying the Acanthus hotel (not really what we're looking for), but would love to hear about people's experiences with smaller homes. Thanks for your recommendations in advance. We leave three weeks from Tuesday!!! -john |
You could try lookingthrough this site, which shows bed and breakfast places and more:
http://www.bedandbreakfast.de/muench...ex.php?lang=ge I'm sure you can contact them in English. Harzer |

No way! would I rent any of these places! "Zimmer frei" for a short time are not common at all ihn Munich. If you happen to be students looking for accomodation for a while it's different. Look for a Pension and you'll be o.k. |
Dear Logos!
Having read the list of rooms and apartments through again I can see no reason at all why you would be suspicious of any of them. What do you know that I don't? Harzer |

No further comment needed from my side. |
Some of them sound quite nice to me! Renting a room in the countryside is pretty common in Germany; I don''t know so much in Munich, but why not? Read carefully; just ask enough questions to know what you're getting. It is always a little more high risk, but it could also be less expensive and you get to live in a German home which could be more interesting than staying in a hotel.

>German home
You won't find German homes and hosts on that site ;-). Yes it's high risk, maybe you're lucky. |
