Zicasso

Can anyone recommend using Zicasso for a trip to Italy?

Jean Aug 18th, 2018 10:14 AM

It appears that Zicasso just connects you with "travel specialists" who will plan your trip for you. So, you're dealing with strangers who tell you how to spend your money. I guess if you're OK with that, reviews of the company are generally good enough to consider their service. I will point out that it's not clear how much profit to Zicasso and the travel specialist is built into the cost quoted to you, so I'm not sure how you measure the value of their service.

I know my SIL would use a company like this because she has absolutely no interest in researching anything about destinations, travel logistics or even what things she might enjoy seeing/doing while she's there. She just likes to show up, be guided around and take what comes. I, on the other hand, prefer to be in total control of hotel selection, spending priorities, activities and excursions based on my interests, etc. It just depends on your travel style and preferences.

You'll want to post this on the Europe forum and tag it Italy.

You have three threads asking this question. All have been merged into one.

The majority of posters here on Fodors plan their own independent travel which may explain why you have no answers to your posts.

I was going to say that we generally aren't the kind of people that us planning services. Some people here are actually planners, but since this is a noncommercial site, most don't mention it. I've never heard of Zicasso, and I'm on travel sites all the time.

Ditto what tuscan says. If Zicasso had any cred at all, I'm pretty sure I would know about it.

Plenty of folks on Tripadvisor do know about Zicasso and have used:

OP should just do a Google search and find lots of relevant info - appears to be an established company.
