Zermatt, Switzerland - Hotel with Horse & Buggy Ride
We are driving to Zermatt by car from Germany. We need some help - I understand that you have to park your car somewhere and the hotels come to pick you up - correct ? Is the parking in a safe area (we're picking up a new BMW) and which hotel comes to get you with a horse drawn carriage ? My husband was there years ago and this is all he has talked about ! Any other info about Zermatt is helpful. We will appreciate your help !

You park in the town of Taesch and take the train into Zermatt. You can arrange a private taxi through your hotel if you wish, or you can park in a private garage, and they'll take you in a taxi.
Your hotel can arrange a horse-drawn carriage ride, but I'm not sure it'll go all the way to Taesch. I'm also not sure that this is available in the summer.
Anyway, you can find all this info at www.zermatt.ch.
